    E-mail I wanted to share

It turns out that this story is indeed true. The account was published in the Arizona Republic in 2005. Here is a follow up letter that the original complainer wrote after receiving the letter from the USAF officer.

    Reality Check # ?

I don't have a problem running LTL, but if it's paying an LTL rate, I'm treating it like an LTL. If the shipper or the broker wants it run exclusive, it had better be paying an expedite rate. If you want me to run it for .60 a mile, then you have to figure that I'm going to pick it up and hang...

    Reality Check # ?

Sometimes when you figure out all of your costs to operate and then compare that to some of the rates out there, it's enough to make you cry. I've been seeing quite a few loads going for what are essentially LTL rates. I can get junk off getloaded that pays as well as some of the expedites...

    Arctic Blast!!!

I had massive amounts of anti gel in, but still gelled up. I'm at my dad's house, so the van just sat in the driveway all night and with it hitting -35 last night, it was dead this morning. The battery was drained and there was a fair amount of gelling as well. Luckily there was a dealer only...

General Info on Panther and using broker's

I could say something about using an apostrophe to form a plural, but I'll refrain since it's not polite to pick on grammar on an internet forum.

    anyone getting loads?

It was an animated gif that I downloaded. I can't remember where I saw it.

    anyone getting loads?

I did a Ford delivery the other day. I don't know if we can read anything into that, but we can always hope.

    Canada Canadian Laws

It doesn't apply to me anyway, but the day I let some government mandate the max speed of my vehicle is the day we see:

    When do you Sleep/

I'm like that as well. I did 1000 miles once with hardly a problem, and other times a 500 mile run will wipe me out. In the summer when the sun is out and there is a lot of daylight, I can run as long as the sun is up without a problem, but once the sun goes down, I'm toast. If I'm in an area...

    anyone getting loads?

What Turtle said is right on the money, no matter what company you're with or if you're independent. There are some areas that aren't too saturated and you can get some good loads in those areas. Stay away from the competition.

    get loaded changes

I know, but I was really talking about the policy changes. It's kind of hard for a small operation that needs to let more than one person have access.

    get loaded changes

I am rather ticked off at them for that recent policy, but I've been getting enough freight from there lately that I didn't cancel the account. What I don't understand is how they expect a larger company to use their service when you can't even let more than one dispatcher log in at a time...

The Messiah will deliver us. Now where's that jug? I need a refill on my Kool-Aid.

    Diesel dropping faster than gas

For those of us who are bidding all inclusive rates instead of getting a flat rate and a surcharge, low prices are a Godsend.

    anyone getting loads?

Well, if you're in an area with about 20 vans sitting around, that deadhead is sometimes your only decent option. If you want anything for an ok rate, you have to get away from the competition.

    How many Hours a day?

My van's had all kinds of runs today. I had a run to the post office to mail something, a run to the grocery for a gallon of milk, and a run to the dentist this morning for a checkup.
