    Which synthetic oil??

Not that I am aware of Greg but it has to do with the DPF longevity. CJ-4 oils have 1 to 1.1% ash while MB229.51 oils must be below .75%. Doesn't sound like much but it is a lot. If you read the post by danthewolf007 about what a few oil changes of the wrong oil have cost him it is a wee bit...

    Diesel Supplements

If your engine has ANY exhaust treatment devices on it the ATF in the fuel is a bad idea. It used to do wonders for older diesels that had mechanical rotary injection pumps (old 6.9/7.3Ford's and 6.2/6.5 GM's) but not any more. The increased ash content from the ATF will help plug your DPF (soot...

    Which synthetic oil??

Have had good luck with Valvoline SynPower MST for my Sprinter. Samples come back OK and it doesn't burn off any between changes like the Mobil ESP M did. That said I still wish I could use a good CJ-4 oil, this MB approved stuff is $$$$$$$

I would be all over Chrysler for this. I don't know about the US but the Quaker State and Pennzoil oils that meet MB229.51 are not available here and when I called Penn n Quaker I was told they were Europe only oils. I have heard of some Dodge dealers switching to Valvoline, who has a 229.51 oil...

Holy Crap Dan, did someone dump the wrong oil in at an oil change? That would cause the DPF and EGR failures. A failed EGR will also load the swirls up with soot pretty quick too.

    vanners.. shower credits

Are you sure about that chef?? I watch my credits like a hawk and have never seen that happen. I have also filled 16 gallons at say 3am, gotten the half credit, and then filled another 15+ before midnight and do not receive any further credit. As far as showers and vanners, this one scrubs...

Can you convert 10 speed auto-shift to a manual

An Auto-Shift (3 pedal) is a fairly simple conversion back to a manual. A hole needs to be put in the floor, you need to buy the "top" of the transmission (the shifter and shift rail/fork assembly) and a boot. In your engine ECM settings you change the transmission type back to a manual and you...

    vanners.. shower credits

If you are running reasonably steady Leo it usually isn't an issue. Ya just have to plan your fueling a bit. In September I couldn't use the showers I had, and I HAVE to shower every day so it ain't hard to keep ahead.

New DVA Point system change-get ready to get screwed

Your original post has had all of it's points answered by many people but you don't sound like you understood the answers or maybe you don't want to and just want to be mad. There is a difference between a load being IN and express center and being dispatched OUT of an express center...

    Dang Gum Plastic Parts

That stinks. It's unfortunately all too common when people work on the dash and when they put it back together they have a few screws left over, well those screws are needed to keep things supported properly so the dash lasts. I hired a company to install the PeopleNet comm systems in a fleet I...

    Give me a break!!

I see crap like this every time I am down south for vacation, and it is basically crap that will still roll, headed to Mexico, usually a bunch of it in groups. How that kind of crap is allowed to be on the road is beyond me. One good thing the OPP does up here (ya, they do a FEW good things) is...

You can add most Perkins, IHOP's, Denny's and McD's to the list. Panera and Bob Evans are the only ones worth eating at IMHO. Does a full plate of Ohio comfort food at Bob's ease the sting of another coil gone bad Jack?
