    Is It Worth It?

Panther has changed quite a bit since then. I am not aware of anyone waiting 30 days to get paid unless they didn't turn their paperwork in. Depending on the contract it is 7 to 15 days unless you are on "quick pay" That is instance but you pay for that. With regards to large companies that...

    Businesses don't create jobs?

Without a doubt. I do think they really believe that. That is why they have so much problem governing. Sadly, some fall for it hook line and sinker. Business can survive with minimal government. The same can't be said for the government.

    Businesses don't create jobs?

It is amazing where they get the thinking that they do. You are right, I forgot all about the whole Romney thing going on at the time. I did give Obama a pass back then because he knows virtually nothing about how businesses operate.

    Businesses don't create jobs?

Without business, government won't have the money for those roads and bridges. The idea that the government is the job creator is pretty arrogant no matter how they try to spin it. As to whether Bush taxes cuts created jobs, it depends on your source. Republicans say 8.1 million and the...

Should I get back into Expedited??

What you would see now is radically different than the Roberts days. Well except the rates. They are about the same as they were then. ;)

    How many is too many?

No. That was tied to other issues. With regards to Panther mileage variances, they have gotten better over the years but do still occasionally need to be challenged. Especially when nautical miles are used verses practical.

That I would agree with. Pros and cons to each. We have done both so always looking at both sides of it.

    Is It Worth It?

Very true. That was just a easy target on my pad at the time I posted it. My point being that those loads exist but cargo van loads over 1000 miles and paying over two a mile are not the norm. Again for the obvious reason, if they did as they send emails out, everyone would be grabbing them.

    Is It Worth It?

Umm??? Ok. So, https://www.chrwtrucks.com/ routinely offers cargo van loads at 1000 miles for $2.00 a mile. Umm, no. If so, everyone would be there. A load to BFE...maybe. But not routinely. Maybe you know someone "special". That's it. Just not a reality. This doesn't have anything to...

Unless they changed it, I don't think a single operator can sign up for their service.

    Is It Worth It?

A small carrier can be more competitive when just looking at bid boards. But as mentioned, regulations are shoving a bunch of them out, or they turn into a more rouge outfit. Look how many have come and gone that use to advertise here. The bigger ones can operate on a volume philosophy to a...

You gotta do it or go to jail

Very true in that the exemption doesn't apply, but I see them attempting some of the same arguments. The way courts rule nowadays, it is hard to say never on anything.

You gotta do it or go to jail

Something like this case will eventually get challenged. Especially if they use some of the arguments out of the recent Hobby Lobby case.

Well we see what politicians do when they are supposedly straight, maybe there is a future for one that is high all the time. Can't be any worse than what we see now.

Eubanks v. Panther II Transportation Inc.

That is probably true although I mindful that the minute you have a lawsuit it can be beneficial to do a payoff to make it go away. Why would I say that? If a carrier decided to fight this type of claim, it opens up more doors in which to litigate on. That can be pricey to say the least. There...
