I saw one of these in use recently and my first thought was, "I sure hope that receiver hitch mounted to the SUV is rated for a load that heavy". It was being used on a Jeep Cherokee pulling a 40 foot loaded cattle trailer.

That's correct. No negotiation. You get the rate offered according to your pay plan. So a percentage truck will see different rates than a flat rate truck. Maybe better, maybe worse.

I'll take take $75 for HAZMAT. On a 300 mile run that's $.25 a mile. On a 1000 mile run that's still $.075 a mile.

How many of those loads were negotiated? My understanding is the loads will be offered on percentage to trucks that are on percentage and at flat rate to trucks that are on flat rate. I have not yet bought a scanner. I stop at a T/A or Petro and scan my paperwork. If no truck stop scanners are available I use the app on my phone. I have had no problems as of this time.
