What to do when this happens

A couple of things: 1. Sprinters have 15k GVWR's? 2. I have a replacement CB for you. Free for the asking. You pay shipping. 3. I've never been puss-laden nor pus-laden before. However, this one time, at band camp......ah, nevermind. Have a great holiday.

Any interest in an activist drivers group?

Neither should. Each driver should be accorded the same professionalism the scale LEO's should have without regard to who walked in the door last. I worked in a prison for 12 years; my bride for 15. You want to talk about the dregs of society? Does it get any worse? You learn there, very...

    Fed up & disgusted!

Aren't the rooftop models 12v, or are they 110? I have no idea....never owned one. If they're 12v, why through the inverter? Also, FWIW, Ours is also relatively trouble-free. Loud, but fairly trouble-free.

    What can i do

    Potentially....but not absolutely.

    Fed up & disgusted!

Good catch on the generator on the Acemco, Joe. Maybe I'm showing my ignorance, but I'm wondering why you'd need it if the alternator feeds the 12v through an inverter anyhow. Regarding the standalone generator/roof air setup, Domestic makes a split system setup just like the under bunk one...

    Fed up & disgusted!

While I believe their entry into the APU market for trucks is fairly recent, the company's been around a long time. This, I believe, is a very small slice of what they build. Valid concerns, but I wouldn't suggest if I thought they were a fly-by-night.

The C-Unit is making a come back.

Yes, really. That $1.50-1.70 is subjective. Are you talking all miles, or just loaded miles? Huge difference. Regarding 'running the wheels off', would you advocate hanging out in a truck stop instead? I prefer to keep the wheels moving, profitably, when I'm away from my castle. Guess that...

    Fed up & disgusted!

Joe W.W. Williams in GR (Byron Center) has an Acemco APU installed for $7795. Made in Spring Lake, AC output better than the Carrier, and it is quieter. I believe it is a Yanmar diesel....I think. They gave me a brochure two weeks ago. We're not in the market, but I looked real closely at the...

Any interest in an activist drivers group?

I'm confused. Is this post satire? Seriously, these guys get paid BY THE HOUR. If you attempt to make their jobs hard, just who do you think will win those battles? Here's something I overheard an old-school convict telling a 'fish'....fresh off the bus inmate, when dealing with prison...

The C-Unit is making a come back.

In a team operation, it sure can. I strongly believe it will support a $200k D truck.

The C-Unit is making a come back.

Are they a true "D"? I may be wrong, but I don't know of any of the single-axle D red KW's that could haul 13,000#. I wonder the same thing about their new single-axle Cascadias.

WNY Expediting... Drive first, or buy Sprinter?

Oh.............you're one of........them. Kidding, of course. Which lane to go through depends on which border crossing. Some (ambassador bridge) will require you to use truck lanes. Others have told us that they have been scolded for doing so. Suppose I should have read that last line. FedEx...

WNY Expediting... Drive first, or buy Sprinter?

FedEx has a ton of cross-border work....maybe even regional to suit your needs. Best bet would be to call a recruiter and ask. We do so much of it, that we think FedEx believes we're Canadian, and our dogs get so many treats at Customs, they think it's a fast food drive-thru. Regarding own...

Read This Before Buying a Navistar Engine or International Truck

Don't the new Cat trucks have Navistar engines?

I say your KW dealer just got a promotion from the Yugo dealer. If there's 'axle flex with wide singles, then there is with duals, as well. Did he feel comfortable telling you his product was a POS? Outer edge wear is either an inflation or alignment issue. FWIW, our fuel mileage gains are...

    FedEx Custom Critical.... Good Choice??

Geoff Price is our recruiter, and has been nothing less than stellar to us. As others have said, FedEx does have some warts, but we actually believe they try to shed them. We understand their need to return profit to their shareholders, and believe that they see our need to make ours. As Zorry...

My understanding is that there's only 2- a zero offset, and a 2" offset. I'd bet money that yours would be the zero. Incorrect offsets, loaded heavy would more than likely cause bearing failure. Let's ask Doggie Daddy how many bearings his wife's truck has eaten. DD?

Just have to make sure you have the proper offset on your rims, Joe.
