    Curing the "liftgate blues"

My truck came with an Interlift model ILFS liftgate on it, and having worked with/on just about every other brand on the market, I think this is one slick unit! If I ever buy another truck, it will get an Interlift!! Check out: www.interlift.net Rex

    Nickle and Dimed

Phil, I shudder to think of what my situation would be if I didn't have the cash to cover this incident!! Once this is settled, fingers crossed for late tomorrow, 3/31, I can start rebuilding the fund for the next storm. I think I'm gonna buy a clapped out old FL70 and burn it to the ground as...

Broom, There's always gonna be something to mend, it's just the nature of the beastie. As the truck gets older, this trend will escalate. When I bought my rig, in November,'05, one of the first things I did was replace ALL of the light bulbs and make needed repairs to the wiring as I did the...

    Thermostat Problem???

If the engine has a 180 degree thermostat, I would say that everything is fine. You ought to call your dealer and find out what the opening temp of the thermostat is supposed to be. Also, a diesel engine will usually cool down considerably when idling. Rex

Problems with the International 4400 DT466

RE: Trying to keep big corporations honest Mary, I've just re-read your original post, and I'm curious to know what the odometer reading was before and after the ECM was reprogramed. The 2000 hours has me scratching my head as that is essentially a years worth of time on a "normal" job (40...

Problems with the International 4400 DT466

I've gotta go with RichM. on this. The major question is regarding AlumiJunk's status as an authorized dealer for International trucks. If they are not, then they are a reseller. A reseller is a company that buys trucks as a cab and chassis and installs their particular equipment package on...

    Discontinue Ford Vans

I doubt that Ford is planning on discontinuing the E series vans in the near future. They recently (Dec,05) moved van assembly operations to the Avon, OH assembly plant and closed the Lorain, OH, plant where they had been assembled. Ford had a strange operation going before closing the Lorain...
