I dont know about being Anal about it. I just kind of like to know if Im running in the black or the red on the loads I take, Knowing total income and costs, lets me know where Im at. Lets me know if I should have said no thanks on some loads.

I guess I just do things the old fashion way. I should try the new math and my profit per load would increase if I didnt count all those miles in between loads...........

Then how do you account for those miles?? I consider all the miles from the time I drop a load till the next load is in my truck deadhead miles.

The newer vans with the electronic gas feed only needs the stalk replaced. If thats the case, Just go to a junkyard and do it yourself. Probly only about 10 or screws and plug it in and your good to go....

Sounds a whole lot like forced dispatch to me, Its not likely they are hurting for trucks. Just one more step in making us employees without the benifits of being one, taking away our freedom to accept or decline a load. Independant contractor or employee???? What are we becoming?? Who knows...

Dont look for a return on any QC fees, Think about it. $35.00x say 1000 trucks $35000 per week x 52 weeks =1.82millon per year before they even move 1 load of freight, they probly have their office payroll covered. You dont think they are going to give up that cash cow........do you............
