His truck had a bout 1500.00 damage and another 1200.00 in downtime. Like I said, he never got a dime. They told him to go ahead and get...

    Hi,Need a number-To do my business plan

Oh lets see, how about 3000.00 thats a nice number. I would do a little shopping. Check with your carrier and see what they offer, OOIDA, and independent insurance carriers. Cost to you is based generally on value and deductibles. Good luck..

Kind of OT... but slick work truck...

This kinda reminds me of the trucker that retires and you see him in the cartoon out in his yard on his lawn tractor with the CB mounted on the side of the hood, air horns on the top of the hood, and of course dual chrome stacks, and the bumper sticker that says without trucks america stops!

    Western States expediters?

The bulk of freight is certainly east of the Mississippi. White Glove trucks with Fedex do well no matter where they run. Going west as a single usually is a disaster as the miles deadheading kill you, and your log book. Good luck and I hope you find your niche.

Well we learn thru our experiences, don't we? If there is a next time I would'nt go to work without a contract. You never have been charged for a brake job, and I know you know that. It is just simply normal wear and tear. I'm sorry you got burned, there are quite a few good fleet owners out...

    Lift Axle D unit

This is the time to leave it to the experts! Your Truck outfitter should have the ability to recommend the proper axle for your unit. I would run, if it were me tandem tires and not singles. Also I would option for shock absorbers they will make a huge difference in the ride. Good luck

    A question from a new memeber-"D" unit?

No such thing as a dumb question! Here goes, the 7 and 8 refer to the category of chassis based on gross vehicle weight ratings. The size of an expeditor are broken down into the abc. An "A" class unit would have a load capacity of approx 500 lbs., a "B" would also be a van like a 1 ton unit...
