Ok Everyone, LET ME HAVE IT! Poor it on hard!

Phil, no one is suggesting you and Diane are not professional operators. I don't know you personally but have read enough of your posts here and on your blog to know that you are indeed professional. You do not have to prove that to anyone, and believe me I understand your resentment to what you...

Ok Everyone, LET ME HAVE IT! Poor it on hard!

This is very true, and not only where CSA is concerned. Many on here (not only Phil) have commented on the "quality" of the image that is being portrayed to the customer by the people associated with their carrier. Not only in the appearance of the truck but also the appearance and sometimes...

    Teamsters vs Toys R US

Regardless of the artificially low Chinese currency, if North American companies didn't have to pay such exhorbitant wages, benefit and pension costs to unskilled line monkeys, just so they can enjoy the same standard of living as someone who actually has a brain in their head and uses it, then...

Only a Woman would understand this ....

LOL! that's priceless! But it just goes to prove what I keep saying to women all the time. "If you would just learn to pee standing up, you would no longer have this problem"! Besides, in the scenario you just described, you ended up with a combination toilet and bidet all in one, and your...

    Canada Some Can. slang expressions...

Wow, looking at that slang list reminds me of how much I forgot over the years! You know Tim Horton's is ingrained in our culture when they have that many references! I still use the terms "The Shwa" and "Scarberia"! I wish I could find the parody song that Q107 used to play many moons ago...

    Canada Some Can. slang expressions...

Myself and most people I hung out with in my young and stupid days called it Molson Ex-Lax. It sucked almost as bad as Labatt's 50 ale! Neither of which were as bad as Labbat's IPA!:p I'm amazed at the crap I used to drink when I was underage!!!:D

    Daily log book for iphone

I seem to remember looking at that app a while back but found it useless as it didn't do Canada at the time. Anybody know if that has changed?

    Daily log book for iphone

No software program log book is a legal substitute for a hand written log. You can use one as a logbook but to make it legal you must still be able to print out a copy at the end of each day and hand sign it (your signature is what makes it a legal document). Same for the inspection reports...

Canada Just a reminder about cargo vans coming in to Ontario, Canada

Yes, those differences are worth a reminder as well. I just wanted to remind everyone of the GVWR differences since I have been reading of late of people thinking of purchasing either a 9990 GVWR sprinter 3500 or even a 10000 lb GM/Ford and thinking that they are good to go. Apparently there...

Canada Just a reminder about cargo vans coming in to Ontario, Canada

I have read a few recent threads about potential cargo vanners trying all the angles to come in under the 10001 lbs GVWR so they don't have to log and scale, and thought I would throw out this friendly reminder that if you plan on coming into Ontario that the limit here is 4500kg or 9920 lbs...

Experienced courier, but green at expediting.

With no disrespect intended to the advertisers here on EO, if you are reading the trucking magazines, most of the recruiting ads you are reading are there not because they have been "awarded new business" as they would love to have you believe, they are there because they have a very high driver...

starting up, looking for drivers, questions

Ask your buddy with the four trucks how he started out in the business. I could be wrong, but would be willing to bet that if he didn't start out driving for someone else, he at least drove his own truck first to learn the business before becoming a fleet owner. I think you should be willing...

    Problem Solved

Anybody wil show tolerance in order to further their aims and agendas if they think it will benefit them in the long run. As I mentioned in another thread, it's smarter to assimilate than it is too ahnialate! One could also argue that the jews building on the west bank is no different. It's...

    What Did You See?

Agreed! This one probably qualifies as both funny and scary! 400 northbound in Barrie Ontario at about 11pm, a silver mercedes was driving up the middle of three lanes with two people completely naked in the back making out, and as they passed a car they would slow down and purposely have the...

    Which Straight Truck?

That sounds like a nice setup. I'm sure you can't climb many hills at 1100, but that sure is a beautiful cruising rpm! Is it a ZF transmission? what's the rear end?
