uShip, a real value to expediting?

After reading Rich's post I had to post the picture, and be a wise guy!!! Rich is right though! For me uship is a really good tool and I plan to use is wisely. Like the rest of you who posted your concerns, I don't see this helping the drivers who are leased to other companies. I do see it...

    another Panther policy???

Slopoke is very close to being on target with his or her answer. This thread deviated from the original so may I attempt to refresh and apply my $10 bucks worth. After reading this thread in its entirety (and its long) I see no one has really touched on why this is happening. All companies...

Panther ii Has 500 Trucks Refusing To Work?

If this is true, it's about time!!! The only bad thing is the other drivers who aren't sitting out will raise to the occasions and even try and bad rap the drivers who have the heart to sit out. As for the question of fuel, it's all about supply and demand.

    Panther II policy update

Only problem with us who stick to our guns and take a stand is there is always someone who will jump in and take our place. I saw the light 10 years ago and told all those companies who treated me like an employee where to go, but I see they are still finding drivers to fill my shoes. I do...

    Box Floors

Not really Dave, once the oil is absorbed into the wood on the underside it acts as any other material used.

    Box Floors

Another good CHEAP way to protect the under side of any vehicle is to spray the truck or van with used motor oil. I put this oil in spray cans and coat the under side of all my vans and trucks. This helps keep the water from doing any real damage to the floor and other things.

    Truck without a roof

If that were the case, and the fallen parts hit the guy behind, YES! The truck driver would have to pay. Every driver is responsible for his or her truck and the load they haul. No matter what, a driver should catch this problem while doing their per trip, BUT! How many newer drivers on the road...

    New Competition for Expediters

Shoot! He has as much on that van as would most D units. Wonder if he knew to put cargo on the inside, or could it be that is his home?

panther II allowing employees to own trucks

Those employees who own trucks may be on what is known as a house accounts. The employees I know who own trucks, with other companies, get to cover the trashy runs when no one else is around to cover them. Deadhead is high as well. This is done at a few places, now whether P-II does it or not I...

    Panther II policy update

    >Well that's enough from my soapbox. What do you think? > >Bob and Hooligan Hey Bob, you forgot to mention if they (Panther) sent Hooligan's check out or not. After all he is the Captain of that ship, and I know those folks at Panther wouldn't want to get that killer dog mad. My thoughts...

    Panther II policy update

Although you are right about your math R-H in the corporate world some count one minuet into a new week, as a full week (not my roles). Depending upon what day you took your vaca, looks like how they are counting it. If the pay week ends on Saturday and you went out of service Friday that is...

I just thought this was a nice lQQking truck....

RE: I just thought this was a nice lQQking truck.. I thought a sleeper in the box was illegal? Or is it that the Expedite Companies are the ones who don't like it? I think someone on this forum a few years ago had a heck of a time getting the company they drove for to pass the sleeper in the...

    Truck without a roof

GOOD LUCK on trying to reach someone!!! Don’t try calling Detroit. ‘B-O-J’ (bunk-o-junk ‘aka’ alumi bunk) reads these posts daily and now that they know another of their truck owners is having a problem they may become ghosts as usual. The only consolation is it was the box, and B-O-J...

RE: IS ANYBODY MAKING MONEY DRIVING WITH THESE GA >Always look and know what you total miles >are, including deadhead in the front and back of a run. >There are of course other considerations such as location, >where the run takes you, time of day and week, other trucks >in the area, are...

    " NO EXPEDITORS!"

RE: >Saying that 18 wheelers hate expeditors is really >stereotyping. <> I have a friend that a big truck tried to >run off the road one night (3 times). I've run the road with many big truck drivers. Yes you are right when saying that statement is stereotyping the big truck drivers. After...

LDP - Question from previous post

Your question is rather confusing, I see why BBB ask if you mean VAN or B class license! Like Glen said ‘not likely’ in a van, but it ‘is possible’. I know to be a fact, because I am one of those who has! The way I do it (did it) is doing dedicated runs. I used to do a 600 mile dedicated...

    " NO EXPEDITORS!"

RE: Why not post the name of said truck stop so other drivers know who and where they are. Maybe we can all stay away from this truck stop! The best way to hurt someone is to get into his or her pockets. By staying away from places like this, they will soon feel it. Maybe leave a note or send...
