Are you on the east side or west side? A little more is needed in the D then common sense. You need to be fast or have a loaded pistol ready to expect the worst at all hours. Home invasions and car jackings are also issues.
Trade/sell the Sprinter in this fall on the newly redesigned Sprinter coming fall of 2018. Make sure to get the diesel engine suspension seats air ride and all the high end options as well as the extended model.
My blower motor went at 550 hours, still yet to replace it. Gotta call Espar to see what they can do. I wish it was as easy as just getting a Espar, along with that comes 2 or 4 batteries, a inverter, roof vents, 2 layers of insulation, etc.
Not enough room to sleep in back so hotels and friends (maybe try a airbnb if staying more then one night). Gotta up my rates this time of year to offset the cost or get off the road and wait for the warm air to arrive and for vans to depreciate. ;)
This guy seems to think and feel differently, lot of mixed opinions on the current state of the van.

Must be team drivers and the freight industry must have picked up. Last I checked solo drivers were getting around 1500-2500 miles per week and 3000 on the exceptionally good weeks. :confused2: I'm only good for about 1000-1500 per week so my options are uship or fleet owner ;) I could probably...
Yes Uship the uber of shipping hailing from Austin Tx, please come and place a bid against me odds are stacked up, just did 10 this month on 5-6kmiles so I don't get too excited these days over .90 a mile although no touch freight makes me want to return to expedite. I believe Grizzly is a...
These Frito Lay Vans really pack a punch when it comes to cubic cargo feet available. As in me calling some chip fleet owners is what I meant. Don't think I want to get a Frito Lay van to go back on expedite making .90 a mile. What are the current rates these days wouldn't know... hmmm
A lot of speculation here with no real hard facts. Lets get the facts and go from there. The truck is designed for whatever it can handle, the boxes are clearly different and unique in their on separate entities. So until we can have a chip van fleet owner to chime in or get Morgan Olsen (tried...
Saw one heading north on the 87 south of Albany other day on 14+ Sprinter chassis. Anyone that can confirm the empty weight of the a Frito Lay van with Morgan Olsen box? I think these boxes will continue to get lighter in upcoming years hopefully under 10k to avoid logging.
Here we go! Nice size box here...
