    Signs of times to come?

Agree, I was talking about unloading. A few times delivering to food places I had to just back into the dock, they unsealed the box, opened it from the inside and unloaded it. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

I bet the location has something to do with your low vote.

    Signs of times to come?

Moot, no I don't. I am thinking about it though. A bit more work, but we need the exercise anyway. I have been at a few places that do not allow the drivers in the secure area, but I can make them use the pallet jack, I suppose. This truck is old so I don't mind too much if it gets a bit...

    No .. it's August .. Locations & More

Maybe the price of new cars are a bit too high? Couple that with moving production to other countries, loss of jobs here in the US, you bet people are not flocking to buy new cars as they used to.

Good deal or should I pass .?

Kip, I don't know about the CAT, but on my Mercedes MBE900 I change the oil every 15k miles. I did an used oil analysis and at 15k miles the oil still had some life left in it. 5k oil changes seem unnecessary to me. You might want to look into that. How many gallons of oil does the Cat hold?

It's August & Time To Get Rollin

I don't know what kind of party they are having tonight. Just picked up 5 skids of Trojans, 3 different flavors, straight through delivery. The pay is so good, it makes me feel it's a mistake. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

    Signs of times to come?

Speaking of landing gear, one time I picked up at a place that had some kind of concrete slabs where the wheels go to raise the truck up, but the landing gear wasn't on the top of the slabs, so they did not reach all the way to the ground. When the forklift got on, the whole truck went down what...

    Signs of times to come?

The other day I stopped at the TA on I40 west of Asheville, NC for a quick shower. I just parked my truck and was getting ready to get out and a guy walks up to my truck. I was thinking it was one of those guys that his girlfriend's mother died and he needed money to get to the funeral, or any...

    Promaster tempature reader

I read that the promasters below a certain temperature will increase the idle rpms. I would guess that it will burn more fuel unnecessarily. If it was me I would get it fixed, well I would fix it myself. More than likely just the sensor or the wiring. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

    Promaster 3.6

I bet if you remove the air filter all together your fuel economy will increase even more. K&n improves air flow at the expense of filtration efficiency. Do your engine a favor and use the OEM air filter. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

    Thank You

Terry, congratulations! I still remember that day in 2006 I walked out of a Pilot in South Bend and I saw a Custom Critical Ford with an interesting license plate: HOTFR8. I walked up to your van and we chatted for a while until I had to leave to pick up a load. After that I haven't ran into...

The latest new Load One custom

West, I am curious what kind of fuel mileage this van gets. Could you report actual mileage after a few weeks? Good choice of engine in my opinion. Less chance of the driver racing it. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

    Newbie, Need advice

I encourage you to stay away from cargo vans at any cost. This segment of expediting is overcrowded and rates are in the tank. Of you want to learn more, take a trip to Lexington, Ky this Friday and Saturday to the expediting convention. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

ANY LARGE STRAIGHT with no J breaks?

Mine does not have it. I can't call it scary, but I wish it had one. It has been OK so far, managed not to overheat the brakes yet, but I take it very very slowly when I am heavy and go downhill. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk
