    DC

When we get to DC, we head to the J in Northeast, MD. Then we're right between Baltimore and Phili. If you don't want to dh quite so far, there's a small truckstop in Millersville, MD. It's about half way between Baltimore and Annapolis, but it's a lot quieter than the TA in Baltimore.

Did you noticed America was shut down today?

There's a difference between the ex-patriots in Cuba and illegals from Mexico. The Florida Cubans are awaiting the day Castro dies, and hoping democracy becomes the norm there. At that time, we can probably expect a mass exodus of these ex-patriots back to their homeland. I support their waving...

    Fuel Islands Warning Signs.

They can have signs all over the place. But unless there's a conscious effort on their part to make the place reasonably safe, their signs don't mean squat. That's like saying I could put a sign out in front of my house saying "Caution: Ice", then leave it up without ever cleaning my sidewalk...

    mileage on used trucks

100,000/year miles is decent for a used truck. Brand of truck depends on what kind of unit you want. Tractor, you'll hear all different answers. Straight trucks, I tend toward Kenworth, but I'd get a FL if the price is right.

    P2 What is going on?

Simon... refusing has its place. More often than not, I've seen the ones who take everything going out of biz. Perfect example as to what I'm talking about: Took a load to NJ del Sat, got out Monday. Went to GA, loaded right back out to Harrisburg, PA. Sat for two days with the east coast...

    Idling Is Soooo Over!

Personally, I would've used axle grease. It's a lot harder to get completely off. Better yet, get some scented KY. It'll make him think. Last couple of nights I had to climb up in the cab to see if the key was on. Turns out the trucks next to us were idling so hard, it was shaking our truck...

    Greatest City to visit?

If you ever get a run to Seattle or Portland, and have some time to kill, I recommend taking US12 from Yakima to I-5. It goes thru White Pass, and the scenery is awesome! I'd love to go camping there, if I can ever get the woman to go to a Seahawk game with me. :D

    Greatest City to visit?

Haven't been to Seattle, but I'd like to go for obvious reasons ;) Somewhere I have been? New Hampshire. Get a room at a b&b in the mountains, maybe the beach in Maine and have a cheapo lobster sammich.

    200k Gross?

If it's a toss-up to you between t/t and straight, I'd say go with t/t. You have so many more possibilities. Sure, the fuel milage is worse, you have more taxes, tolls are higher, and so on. But if you're comfortable driving one, go for it! You'll make more money in the long run, and I'm not...

    INFO ON DUI

Because we don't raise crap when things are dictated to us. Because when a four wheeler gets into an accident with a big truck, WE are the scapegoats! Because with more limits placed on us, the public gets the perception that things are hunky dory, and they can continue to drive like idiots...

    Spec' ing Trucks

A 30' box! LOL We didn't spec the truck out we're driving, just driving what's available. However, if we were to spec this truck out, first thing would be a lower torque rear-end. Second would be an automatic transmission. Drop axel would be perfect for this truck, as would a liftgate. Though I...

    first on the board

Broom... I agree with you to a point about being right in the city. But when I was running with most of the companies, I loved sitting between two major freight zones (Indi/Chicago, Nashville/Memphis, Cinci/Dayton) so I was on both boards. Personally, I don't see any reason to sit in Cuba. A...
