I am so with you on chrome (Dingle even got a new chrome colored harness). :D
The only thing delaying me is that I plan on spraying these with clearcoat before installing them. Since they will be getting the full brunt of the airflow I'm hoping that will give them a protective shine. :)
Cheri, if you're talking about the plastic ones like on my truck, I'll check them in the daylight for a manufacturer. I like the fact that the mirror arms aren't mounted on the door, but one of the drawbacks is the window vents get cracked when the door is opened fully. :(
Now wait a minute, I'm totally serious. After the great results I've had with the ones on my sleeper deflecting the air up over the box, it makes sense that they'll work. The Airtab engineer recommended to one of my friends with a Hino that he do the same thing. And as you know the Hino has a...
My plan is to put Airtabs on my T-300 hood, as bug deflectors. It will only take 9, less than $30. I'm going to put them right where the hood levels back off, 4 on each side and 1 on the center ridge. I'll let you know how well they work. I know they won't eat up my mpg.
After much study I have come to the realization that there is a very good reason for that. The turn signal is actually emitting a magnetic beam drawing the other vehicle closer to you against the drivers will. You will notice that when vehicles change lanes without using their signal this...
One of my favorite laundromats is in Marion, IL, I-57, exit 53. There is a gas station with a laundromat in the back of it. Can you believe $.50 a wash? Oh, the best part is you park at the Cracker Barrel. :D Always thinking of my stomach.
Left Guardian of Ligonier behind to get my chauffeurs license and drive day-cab straight truck for the next 5 years. I don't miss the day-cab and being home every other day.
Just had to revisit this thread. I stopped at the J in Perrysburg for fuel today. The pump I was at and the one next to me were not operating properly. Maintenance tried to rectify the problem but it was beyond their abilities. We moved to different pumps and got our fuel with no further...
Like Ritasroy, I always salt the water. I put a pinhole in the large end of each egg, which pops the airbubble inside the shell. Also, you want to put the eggs in the water before you start heating it. If you have a shell that doesn't loosen up when you first start to peel it you can roll the...
I think in the truck you have to have a fuse puller sitting next to your qualcomm and three logbooks. :p
As to the one product, do you use Totally Awesome? Glass, carpet, laundry prewash, nontoxic. Dollar stores have it.
Okay here we go again. I like the one of the rainbow because it shows less wrap around on my mirrors than I used to have and no spray off the tires.
Next I'll be putting them on my hood as bug deflectors, but I'm going to spray them with clearcoat first so they'll hold a shine for a while.
That's not funny, Cheri. I used to waitress at an open AA meeting that was held in the lounge at the Evergreen truckstop. They had to be done at 11 am so the bar could open for the day.
I like the New England Truckstop at xt 3. The ladies shower room is nice. You are in walking distance of Cracker Barrel :D and a shopping area that includes Walmart. Before Pilot bought the one where you guys are it one of my favorites. :(
