    inverter question

I am a little confused as to what type of inverter you have. The normal operation of an inverter is to convert 12 volt battery power into normal household current to be able to run 115 volt appliances. The converter draws power from your batteries to do this. It does not itself store any type of...

    Dirty Truckers

Axis714, I hate to say this but, I hope you remember every word of your post the next time you are doubled over with stomach cramps and running a fever so high you don't know your own name due to some bacterial infection you picked up from the toilet, the buffet, or just breathing the air from a...

    Hell frozen over!

Hawkman, I'm sure you made the right call. I was not coming down on you personally, It just brought a lot of past emotions into mind when I read about the ice and the accidents and I got a little carried away in my post. I have a very strict rule for me and my wife: when we are not comfortable...

    Hell frozen over!

Hawkman, I can't help it,... One question...Why do you risk your life and your nephew's to drive in those conditions? Was the freight really that HOT? When I read a thread like yours I get weak in the knees because 5 years ago I lost a very good freind in an accidient on road conditions just as...

What's The Best Solo Friendly Company

Ditto what LDB said, with one exception. I have a friend who started as a solo driver for FedEx in Dec. and is doing well, Farrrr exceding the income adverage you stated in your post. But most people (even the dispatchers and recruiters)agree that FedEx is not the best company as a solo driver...

    Air Leak in the Cab?

klippencott, Check the air bag valve. It has O rings in it that wear out very quickly because they are very small. If you don't replace it will blow completely out and one day you will lower your air bags and they won't come back up or they may leak down in transit,,,Talk about a rough ride!!! Dan

    If Your Gonna Do This

Broom, If MS Clinton rode with you for a day you would not run in the far right lane, you would probly just drive off the mountian to get some relief, and being the good guy that you are, give the rest of us some relief by taking her with you.LOL (Bill would probly attend your funeral instead of...

I use DDL (Drivers daily log) and it is very user freindly. It will keep you out of trouble with your log book because it will warn you before you have a violation. I drive for FedExcc and this is the only computer generated logs they approve. My logs print out exactly as the FedExcc scan logs...

    Airtek front suspensions

Road2rouen, I am concidering trying new shocks before I do anything else. I read about the Monroe 65 and it sounded good. You replaced just the rear shocks with Monroe 65's and noticed that much improvement? I think they make a replacment for my front shocks too on my freightliner. I had a...
