    Getting Started

I used Reflectix on the roof. High temp aluminium foil tape to seal and hold it in place. Yes, I did notice some minor squeaks, but the DAP foam insulation around the outer parameters of the pink foam board eliminated that issue. Also, the entire cargo area will be covered with a poly liner...

Do you think expediting for cargo vans is slowing

RE: Do you think expediting for cargo vans is slow I thought about switching to a Sprinter or Unicell, but the carrier (one in the top 5) I was with advised against spending the additional money to make such a change. They said that their van freight was based upon the standard cargo van and...

    Getting Started

I tried Liquid Nails and Dow Contractors Adhesive; both took way too long to set. I then began to cut the insulation a little wide and made it fit very snug. After tapping it into place with the heel of my hand, I went around the piece with DAP Foam Insulation. That keeps everything in place...

    Am I The Only One???

Last year, a pastor that I know and respect, decided to shut down the open forum on that church's web site. He was fed a little skewed information from one of his kids and that led him to begin reading the threads of the forum. He felt that there was bickering and back biting within the context...

    Getting Started

I just do what God allows me to do. With His leading I was able to make a decent living with my 2006 van. I am not the most intelligent or skilled O/O in expediting, but I am so glad that He uses the "baser" things, like me! Really, in my own strength, I am pretty weak, but I have promises...

    american diesel vs sprinter

In October 2006 a church up near the Michigan line asked me to consider being their pastor. I sold the van to help them out. After 9 months of trying to sell our house in Dayton, the church and myself agreed that they needed a full time pastor who was residing in their area. A retired pastor...

    New 2007 FREIGHTLINER Sprinter 2500C

Keep in mind that a 6.0L GM cutaway comes with a 4.10 rear end. You have to get the Duramax Diesel to get a 3.73 rear end in a cutaway. Our Fleet Mgr for a local dealership brings up that issue at every GM meeting. They have yet to yield on that issue.

First 2008 delivered into our region. Not having a Monroney label is not uncommon during a model year transition period. No engine or weight changes for 2008, so the mileage stays the same. You can usually get the Reflectix at Lowe's. It is about $3.00 more per roll, but you have to order it...

    how do you stay awake?

Paul, Of course, there is no replacement or substitute for sleep. I am certain that those professionals who responded are keenly aware of that fact. My previous reply was not to insinuate that one should operate beyond the physical requirement for sleep, but more so directed toward those...

    Sales tax on truck purchase

Picking up my new cargo van on Monday. :D In Ohio you can get a TAX EXEMPT FORM from the Title Bureau. You fill out the portion that requires an ICC/MC number as a Motor Vehicle For Hire and the dealer completes a portion. It makes the process easier if you have the form in hand when you go to...

    Idleaire reservations?

Ouch! I have had the same thing happen to me when trying to get a hotel room. Needless to say, I now make a reservation in advance. It looks as though the same will hold true for IdleAir. Hopefully, truck stops will have a "Cut-Off" time that opens the spot if the person placing the...
