How are teams dividing the hours?

What type of example would you consider useful? And, I have a question. Are you having an issue with how 8338 works, without violating 14hr and/or 11hr rules, or something else?

How are teams dividing the hours?

We are paper log book driven. No Qcom, though we do provide tracking if customer has a legitimate need. We have had two class 1 inspection in the last six months, no problems. Not sure why more drivers do not use the 8-3-3-8. After being UP a good portion of a day and then accepting a long run...

How are teams dividing the hours?

“does the clock stop for your drive time?” No it does not stop. 8hrs driving and/or on duty, then 3hrs in sleeper, then 3hrs driving and/or on duty, then 8hrs in sleeper. Co driver mirrors the above 8-3-3-8

How are teams dividing the hours?

When we run as a Team, we usually run an 8-3-3-8. 8hrs driving and/or on duty, then 3hrs in sleeper, then 3hrs driving and/or on duty, then 8hrs in sleeper. It’s the best fit to keep the wheels rolling and be legal. 8-3-3-8 over and over.

    load 1

You make innuendo that I do not understand scores from Safety Evaluation Areas issued by the FMCSA. I consider the SEA scores for Load One … high. In a SEA score carrier comparative environment their score is not average. Not opinion, just fact. Lastly, while you may not feel I have the...

    What is EO All About?

EO is all about selling. Selling you a job in trucking, whether selling a truck you drive as a leased employee of one of EO’s many sponsors or coming on board with a fleet owner that needs a new warm butt for there aging truck fleets. You have got to know EO is all about the money in the end...

Having it (CoPilot) does not mean you know how to use it, nor does testing an old alpha or beta version lend you all knowing expertise about the software. You may just be incapable of grasping CoPilots full functionality. But you are right about one thing, it does not matter.

CoPilot is not for cargo vans or cars and especially not for turtles. Your comment “Co-Pilot is probably the worst” highlights how ignorantly poor your navigation skills are and understanding of the CoPilot software. Now repeat after me, "CoPilot is for professional drivers. TomTom...

Would any of you who use diesel have a need….

Surprised. We are very surprised that so few would not want the full list of Murphy USA with diesel in a usable Google Earth format. Fridays fill up was 2.83 per gallon and yesterday was 2.79. I can only guess that truck stops and fleet cards provide a much greater discount than Murphy’s pump...

Would any of you who use diesel have a need….

for a “Google Earth” kmz. file, that contains 805 “Murphy USA” diesel fuel stations? If you do not know what a .kmz file is, the quick answer is, it is a location file that loads onto Google Earth live maps so you can see where each station is located. Anyone need it?

Can you tell me what this is?? There are many

Thanks for the info on the private truck parking. I do not know if we were the lugnut you saw. We did drop in Churubusco IN, then a second drop in Lockport, IL. Empty at that point then DH to pick up item 1 in Addison, IL then to pick up item 2 in Bensenville, IL then onto dropping item 1 in St...

Moving forward to your own authority…

You understand perfectly. Thanks for the comments from each of you. I/we seldom post at the EO due to time to constraints. We expect a few readers may well gain a view that we chose a very different route in trucking than others would desire you to follow. And while our route is not accessible...

Moving forward to your own authority…

Dave, I’m sure you already access most freight opportunities we access ourselves. Think of our “cooperative carrier” idea as an elimination of the owner operator being treated as “RoboDriver”. A “cooperative carrier member” would book, bid, create freight opportunities for themselves in real...

Moving forward to your own authority…

Thanks Linda and Bob for your comment. One of the “Cool” expansions we are looking at is creating a “cooperative carrier” where owner operators like yourselves could become a “carrier cooperative member” and have immediate access to freight for hauling without climbing the normal hills of...

Moving forward to your own authority…

The following is a brief chronology of our journey through expedite/trucking. Our steps forward maybe food for thought for those of you who are seasoned owner/operators with both the means and desire step to the next level of freight transportation. A. We got our Class A licenses in the fall...
