lol...we do tend to over debate non-issues, huh? :) I feel certain that having the training/license will not disqualify you for anything.....how's that?! Lol

Heating / Cooling What is considerd to be the ESPAR of Air Conditioning systems?

That would explain why we have never seen one, huh? :D I like the swing out racks ok...I like the front rack better, if you can get one on a Sprinter. For me, carrying a generator and gas can inside the van just ain't gonna happen...lol. I know lots of people do...just not for me.

Dispatch hasn't been able to get me moving so far today, but I'll give 'em an A for effort. They have been trying hard, 4th attempt in the last few hours. They'll get it sooner or later with that effort.

Yeah...but are you going to keep it updated? It's not a one time thing as far as I know. It may be different state to state as well. I guess if they actually put you on a lift and train you, that's worth something just for the experience. I've got some dirty socks that are probably worth more...

Gotta agree with Cheri..can't imagine what the forklift cert is for. If it's something the school is doing, I'm guessing it's just something to get more money out of ya. We did forklift certifications at the factory where I used to work..about 30 minutes a year. I would ask how much I could save...

Heating / Cooling What is considerd to be the ESPAR of Air Conditioning systems?

Another thing...my post promoting the quiet diesel Onan...that would be for a straight truck. I'm told there are generators available for Sprinters that most of us don't ever see. If I wanted to get a really nice generator setup for a Sprinter...possibly a small diesel generator built just for a...

Heating / Cooling What is considerd to be the ESPAR of Air Conditioning systems?

I would probably talk to a few RV dealers and see what is best. I put a low profile Dometic on my van, but it was expensive with a wall thermostat, etc. I paid $1200 or so for mine and installed it myself. Guido paid half that for his at the surplus place in IN, but his is not low profile. He...

I think the food source was why we had them so bad back then. My step family all had cattle and hogs on their farms. They all had corn fields in the area. They were small operations...15-20 hogs + whatever baby pigs were on the ground at the time. But, when you added it all up, and most others...

    Who like the Budwiser Duel?

From what I understand it's one of the more truck friendly tracks...as well as Kansas Speedway and Texas. I've never been to race myself, but I have a feeling that the banking is impressive at any Nascar track. My top 3 that I would like to see would be Talladega, Bristol and Richmond.

We used to have blackbird invasions like that when I was younger. I guess they've moved a little east. They made great target practice for a farm kid..lol. I don't miss 'em though.

    That's a woman for ya!

Danica did a very good job today. She ran in the front of the pack most of the day, led a couple laps and was in a position to compete for the win. I think her lack of experience probably showed when she dropped from 3rd to 8th (or whatever it was) on the final lap. She was likely trying to hang...

Might Sequestration be a Boon for Expediters? If So, What Will You Charge?

I really hope that nobody's freight "booms", but if it does.... you can have it :)

DT 466 E No Start. Air in fuel?

I learned something in tool and die that I have always used when working on trucks too. When you attempt a repair and it's just not going right...don't go deeper looking for other problems. In other words, your truck was running when you got it home. Some part of what your doing with the...

DT 466 E No Start. Air in fuel?

I was referring to rubber lines...sounds like you may have some metal too? Rubber fuel lines have a tendency to deteriorate from the inside after a few years. A really bad rubber line can be weak enough to collapse or partially collapse causing a sluggish performance.

DT 466 E No Start. Air in fuel?

Once you get it running...get the immediate problem solved...if it is still sluggish, I would consider replacing all fuel lines if they are original.
