Yeah but we're not that intrusive! In fact if you deliver to the nuclear facility I protect. Provided we can unload you without having to go inside the secured portion of the facility. No armed officers searching your vehicle!

    Yellow penske trucks

No offense but your statement here lacks any common sense or purpose!!! With all the other issues going in the expedited market. Your focusing on a style of truck being used and wanting to spend money on this effort no less? This is no different than the "ban the van" effort that's been around...

Did a shorty trip today from (2 picker) St. Charles, IL and Joliet, IL to Zionsville, IN and final drop in Indy. The trip paid well! Not a dime! But was still priceless as I got to drive again with my Dad just like the old days when we ran expedited together! Actually I ran expedite, he kept...

What load made you scratch your head?

It's not uncommon if you run military or in some cases expensive electronics. They never want the driver to know they're under surveillance because one never knows if the driver is corrupt and part of a group plotting to steal the freight. And usually they'll follow in stretches of 150-200...

What load made you scratch your head?

I did another weird load, ironically enough another food load. 350lbs of bulk hamburger helper in bags from Ashton, IL to a packaging plant in St. Charles, IL 65 miles away. My van stunk of hamburger helper for weeks!

What load made you scratch your head?

Strangest loads.....two come to my mind. 1. 800lbs of frozen KFC chicken from Atlanta to Pittsburgh to a restaurant for a grand opening because they didn't order enough. *warehouse to store. 2. 500lbs of Domino's pizza dough from Woodridge IL to St. Louis on Super Bowl Sunday. They ran out of...

Actually, Moose, you're better off depending where in Chicagoland you drop, you have options. 1. If you deliver in the south burbs, ie Joliet or anything along I-80. Stay at the Pilot in Minooka. You're close to I-39 to get to Rockford. Run I-80 east if you have to go to Indiana. Can Run I-55...
