Will an F250 Diesel super Duty with long bed work for expediting biz

I would think there ought to be a place doing such in the US. There is one in Hillsburgh, Ont that has pickups towing flatbed trailers around (5 units) and his guys before the recession were doing alright. Small company doing basically hotshots but quite often they were doing backhauls as well...

Nice thing about that blue truck is you can change the plugs and the fan belt from inside and not get wet in the rain. Crane loading as well, real nice! Rob

    2008 Sprinters

During the last part of 08 sales the market fell apart and of course sales dropped. It appears that there were a lot of unsold 08s and of course 09s are not selling as well or in great demand so fewer around. Here we have the problem of a limited supply as most units go to the US. SO only a...

    Duh!!!!

You do this because you've let those do gooders bend the governments thinking to an open minded way of thinking and doing. So instead of following the rules and making thousands of Americans work in the low paying jobs you've allowed too much flexibility and illegals get the jobs. The US has...

    No More Dodge Sprinter

With income as it is my major work plan is a match and a bottle of gas! LOL! Actually just reworking the major work plan as the Sprinter needs some work in the coming weeks. Luckily I've still got the FD running to make money with so I'm not out of business if the Sprinter dies or needs work. Rob

Newer model GM vans daytime running lights

The cure for the bulb burn out is to buy LL (long life) type bulbs. I've replaced most of mine with them and definitely last longer. In canuck land we have to have the drls running all the time but on the Sprinter all the lights are on while the engine is running. Rob

    Runs picking up?

It looked like it was picking up as we started being a bit busier. But alas the company and many others have also started to hire again. Well you know what happens then... more trucks = less runs per individual unit again. Oh well.. but yeah seems things are starting to pickup a bit so...

    solar van

Solar panels do not have to be angled towards the sun to work properly. I had a company that installed them as a customer up north and his favorite thing was to install on a wall of a house so the panels were vertical. This allowed all snow, rain and such to run down and drain off the panel...

    No More Dodge Sprinter

In fact that's what I usually do now is buy/source the parts and have my mechanic install. So now I buy the brake parts (original change no aftermarket available here), filters etc where I can for discounted prices and let the mechanic install. Usually have him do 2-3 things at once and a lot...

    Fun with numbers

OVM you're partially right in would it be cheaper to fund healthcare for the uninsured only. Basically you'd have to create a new insurance company with government money backing it and make the people joining pay either user fees and/or small premiums per month. Either way the costs then would...

    No More Dodge Sprinter

Yeah ovm that's canuck. I've actually had quite a few Chrysler supply problems with different parts. Also have had problems with MB doing service on the Sprinter as it has a stupid chrysler serial number so they can't lookup the parts installed by the factory so I see this being a potential...

    No More Dodge Sprinter

The Transit (full size) has a version with just over 14' of cargo bed so would probably work well for us. The Connect has a longer version available but not here as of yet and Ford initially did not have any plans to bring it in, but was testing the full size Transit for here. One minor...

    Request For Information Denied

Unfortunately a census can ask a lot of questions. We have two types called short form and long form. The long form asa you can imagine asks all kinds of things which I think they need not know. This information is utilized in a variety of ways but the best of course is the release of the...

Giving Obama emergency control of internet

Shutting down the internet within the US borders would be hard but for part of it a possibility. The govt paid for and setup many of the large traffic computer systems so taking those offline to all but military and designated users (read - govt) would not be all that hard. Shutting down int'l...

oldest son is joining the navy...........finally

Normally crazynuff I would agree with your sentiment about poor management. But today that may not be all of it or the actual problem. I have a niece who worked at a store and she was getting a lot of hours. My brother suggested to the manager to hire another body to allow my niece time off...
