A Natural High When Driving a Truck; Do You Get it Too?

I thought it was called "spring". I feel that way fairly often, it counters the days when we have to drive in LA, when loads cancel, when there's 10 trucks ahead of you on the board, and every other stressor. That's a lot of feelin' good to trump the feelin' bad. ;) Felt it today when we drove...

    what's happening to fuel surcharge?

Nobb, what is the mpg that fed uses to calculate fsc for each size vehicle? I think it's on the extranet, but I can't find it... Thanks for the breakdown, you made it very easy to understand :)

    VERY interesting problem

Is the J1939 port the same port that the shops use to plug into for diagnostics? If so, would they have to unplug the Qc to do that? Because if that's the plug under the dash they were supposed to use, I can almost guarantee it's spliced on ours... Will check when we stop.

    On the Road Recipes

When I was very young, I thought there was something about Easter being the only time you could eat lamb. Like some religious rule, lol. We always had lamb at Easter and always with mint jelly! It'll probably be easier to find it for a few weeks...

Debris Removal Charge?? Permission From Dispatch??

Rotflmao!!! Btw, Phil had me reading that *post* wide-eyed and slack-jawwed. I was NOT expecting that! Bravo, Phil!

Debris Removal Charge?? Permission From Dispatch??

Thanks for the story, Phil, it was a great example of the need to deal diplomatically with crazy b!tches. I do have one Q though, wouldn't letting "Mongo" use your equipment to do his job have opened you up to liability if, say, the wheel fell off the dolly and the freight fell over? I...

    DPF and cummins ISC

Wow. Puke tank gets low and the truck shuts down on the interstate!?! Too many of these incidents- it'll be like the Toyota accelerator issues. Except no one will care because it's not a car. Still think I smell a class action suit.

    Sprinter teams

Dang! We rarely put 5k in our 20ft straight. Just because you "can" doesn't mean you "should". :eek!:

TA Ontario Ca, New Rules and fees

Is that "wow, why do you sit that long?" or "wow, how'd you get out so quick?" lol Fdcc. Sometimes it's because freight is slow, sometimes you just want a couple days of rest after a hard week :)

TA Ontario Ca, New Rules and fees

I'm gonna change my card, then! I'm really hoping we can stay up front, it's so much easier to shower everyday when you don't have to drive over from wherever you parked the night before. I heard last night there were 4 or so straights up front and 13 bobtails in ONT East. Later in the...

If you die away from home.

You can also have your creamation remains used to help form a "starter" coral reef. I am having a hard time getting my family on board with me, but I think burial is a horrific practice in it's present form. No preservatives needed, just put me in a pine box in the ground. There are "natural...

Which app? I assume it has options for customizing to take into account accessory fuel usage, from your post.

It's all about the green thing

You could get almost anything you bought repaired, too. Tv, radio, shoes, clothes... It's costing us more money and more jobs to have our cheap and disposable items. *sigh*

Carrier Comfort Pro APU cranks, doesn't start

Oh, now you're asking technical Qs? Lol ;) um, there was an accordian looking thingie that you squished together to prime. The second techs that looked at it were sure it was air in the system...I just asked the hubby, he says it was a combo of air in the system and a bad fuel pump. But the air...

FedEx Ground ISP Transition, Expediting Ramifications?

For the most part I agree with you Greg. The main difference between cc and ground being our willingness to invest way more money into specialized equipment that we may not be required to have anywhere else. I whole-heartedly believe Fdcc will never have "company" drivers. They cannot/will not...
