    Federal Trucking Bailout

I've heard the term "bailout" used loosly the past few weeks, Amtrak bailout, airline bailout and trucking bailout. We know the Feds can bailout Amtrak and the airlines but what about the trucking industry? What would be your vision of a bailout? How would it work? How would it be funded...

    Food for Thought

My analogy is likened to a parent who has two children, remarries and intregrates a step child into the family. The parent keeps telling the new addition, "I love you just like one of my other children," but the step child keeps getting the "hand-me-down" clothes instead of the new stuff...

    Let's have some fun

Wrigleys gum is correct. The question should have included the word "retail". That would have deleted the prior uses for barcodes. They were first used in 1956. A bee has to tap 2000 flowers to produce a pound of honey. My reference shows the word "if" as the word with the longest...

    How Was the Truck Show?

There seemed to be fewer exhibitors in the Expediter Experience but more in the Snake Oil section. We found many of the exhibitors like to sell their merchandise close to the end of the show and that resulted in a steal on some lights, originally $240.00 we got em for $100.00. We also...

    No Complaining

Check out this website, Welcome to www.complaintfreeworld.org This ministers' point is if you deprive you brain from complaining, your mouth will no longer complain. He has a good point. We as truckers complain alot (with good reason) but, to no avail. Complaining leads to action. His...

    Early Easter

Easter is early this year. Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20). This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify Passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar.Based on the...

    19000 lb piece of crap

We had a 2005 M2 with basically the same problems. We traded itin after a year (120,000 mi) on a Sterling. The buyer of our M2 has had only one or two problems since. Go figure. I sympathize with you. On the lighter side, you only have 40,000 mi to go til you hit good times.

    Lower fuel prices

Steve is right. We have the ability to create an oil glut. We are all given our runs based on 45-50 mph and the option of calling in if we are running late due to circumstances beyond our control. Just s=l=o=w d=o=w=n, this will also increase your bottom line and make for safer driving.
