OK, right NOW, it's up to 300.00+ per month....In drive a Ford Taurus...small package stuff.(270mi/day) I don't need anything bigger for what I do now. Hey, I'll pay more for gas if I can make more money period! I can buy regular unld. for $1.46 in Vancouver, WA!

Hey blanc 1955! I'm from Portlnd also. I have found that to expedite from here, you would need to be willing to stay out 4-6 weeks at least. I also found that driving a C unit or larger would get you back up this direction more often than a van(by far). Best of luck to you! Newthead

Yeah, they have about 30% company vehicles. They hire both IC's and company drivers.

Velocity Express is indeed a same-day courier service. Mostly, they use IC's with small trucks and cars for local area courier work. Here(in Portland, OR)they also have drivers deliver to various areas in the Northwest. I imagine it's the same in other metro areas they operate. They do not use...

Just a curious thought....Does anyone using a B unit ever get to take loads out west. How far and how often? I've been looking for B units on the freeways here in Portland but haven't seen any yet. (I have seen numerous box/straight trucks though)
