    International trucks

I have a 9400I tractor, I've found it to be a good truck, it does not ride as smooth as the Century class did but it is much more user friendly when you do a lot of your own maintenace. It is set up so you can replace specific items and not complete assemblies. I would not hesitate to purchase...

    Computer Based Sleeper

This thread is very interesting and way above my level of computing. All want to do is to use a computer while shut down to input data,e-mail and to look on the load boards. Not leased to anybody that requires daily verification or positioning, so unit would be turned off while moving not...

Idle speed when parked for a/c or charging

This is very unscientific, but my Detroit Series 60 appears to use less fuel at 1000 RPM. It also does not puke out a load of blue smoke upon throtling up and the A/C is much colder. Just my observations.

    Intermodal Trucking?

EGL did or maybe still does this in select area's for select customers. You think some shipper's are rude and keep you waiting, try a rail yard. They make lumpers look respectful. I refused to do it largely based on the condition of the chassis.

Just make sure the tire(s) are the same height, measure them with a tape! A too tall or short tire will carry or transfer all the load.
