    KW cabover

In Florida @ exit 328 ? on I 75 behind the Pespi distributor there is/was a cab over Pete with what looked like a 28 or 30 ft box on it. I stopped a couple of times to inquire but could not find out much in the short time I had to stop. Might not be a bad idea to "bedbug" with a long ST.

    KW cabover

Too many factors affect this from engine size make, configuration TT or ST, terrain, mechanical or computer controlled engine? weather, driving habits. But given all of the above I would think 5.7 to 6 would be a good starting point. I have thought about buying an old cab over ( for unknown...

swap last 2 gears in transmission?

I have driven a truck or two with this setup in the days before the electronicaly controlled engine. It was not an uncommon setup especially with oil field trucks and bull racks out west. You could run well over a 100 mph but your right arm got a work out shifting in the mountains. Finding...

    KW T300 Interior Removal

In a previous truck ( 9400I International ) I removed the interior panels and insulated it with 1/2 inch aluminum backed rigid foam insulated sheets I used the 3M spray adhesive to apply to walls, all available at Home Depot. This reduced noise considerably, So much so I used 1 1/2 sheets and...

    Round Trip or Return Loads

When I was leased to EGL (now CEVA) I did a lot of these out "A.O.G." runs for UPS in Louisville. Usually the second leg of these had me take the bad/out of sevice part to a certified repair facility, Then pick up a replacement and take it back to SDF for stock.

    Cat 3126 Warm Up

I don't know the year of your 3126 but since you called it a 3126 and not a C7 it may be a pre-emission engine, but I've noticed the same slow heating on my detroit. The 02 would warm up like you said in 10 miles or so, The 08 is considerably longer. I think it is due to the increased cooling...

    autoshift

40 ft piece of trim for a tour bus from Louisville to Wilkes-Barre Pa. I was told the occupant of the tour bus would not travel in the bus as it was missing a chrome strip on the side. 1 1/2 inch wide and weighed about 20 lbs.

    strange alarm sound

Mine is the "Big Paddle" also. I don't hear the beeping all the time and this may be related to hearing loss. But a definate "clunking" is heard when key is switched off. As stated earlier I cannot find any consequences of the beep.

    strange alarm sound

My 08 Columbia does the same thing, While getting some warranty work done on the DPF it did it and the tech said it was the "Smart Shift" system going through a check mode, I don't know if this correct but I cannot find warning lights or evidence of of a fault. Whatever it doesn't seam to affect...

    freightliner dash electrical

Considering the age of the truck I would guess that a wire has ruubed the insulation off and is shorted out or against a hot wire. If this is the problem it could be expensive and time consumming to find. I would start with the dash light dimer control switch, unplug it and see what happens...
