    Warning Panther Drivers

The fsc is not included in our base rate either. What I said is Panther was advertising 1.49 average for straight trucks which looks pretty good. But when you read the fine print below the ad it says the 1.49 is based on the line haul and the fsc added togeather. If we add our linehaul and fsc...

    Expediter Services

Good company very nice people. They could do better with the up keep of their trucks. I have heard they have gone to a 35/65 split with their drivers with the driver getting 35 instead of the usual 40. That combined with the like vehicle upkeep would have me taking a closer look at availabe...

    Nevada Police need help!!

Makes ya wonder if the driver even knew he ran over the woman. Might have thought he hit a pothole. Not only do drivers need to pay attention when behind the wheel but also when walking in the truck parking lots. I just had a driver step out from between two trucks directly in front of my truck...

    Warning Panther Drivers

Saw an ad for Panther advertising for o/o's and drivers in one of the truck stop guides. Said pay was 1.49 for straights then in the fine print said the 1.49 included fsc. If you put our fsc and linehaul togeather like that we make more then the Panther truck. Is just all in the divy.

    Warning Panther Drivers

Wow I guess we are lucky. We always seem to get right into Laredo and back out. Only time we sit is if something is going on with the border like being closed for one reason or other. We have been with E-1 over 2 years now and and have never even been offered a reduced rate load. Fuel...

    Straight vs Sprinter vs Cargo

So basically you think my husband is correct and the vans and sprinters at at the bottom of the food chain? As for researching, that is kind of what I am trying to do. Was hoping you guys would put enough positive comments that my hubby would say "great, lets get a sprinter" lol which is what I...

    Straight vs Sprinter vs Cargo

Yes, I understand everything is less as for as maintence cost goes. That is a big pro! But do you get enough miles. What kind of miles can a sprinter of cargo team expect to get? Is it harder to get loaded? For instance, if you take a load to say Laredo, El Paso or maybe Phoneix AZ will you be...

    Straight vs Sprinter vs Cargo

A question to the expediter community. Since starting with expediting in 2006 we have driven a straight truck. . . . the straight truck is very comfortable and is like a home away from home. We have always had the intentions of eventually buying our own truck, maybe even more then one. I...

Sitting here in East Peoria waiting for $6000 worth of truck repairs. Friday night at 2:45 am, West-bound I-24, Vienna IL in heavy fog traveling at a speed of 57 mph in the granny lane. A suicidal buck came from the median and crashed into the front drivers side on the truck. Took out the...

    Fleet Owners.... 2 Cents Worth

Exactly, and the next issue is when a driver is willing to pay the lawyer to take it to court, you can't find a lawyer to take it because there is not enough money in it for the lawyer. lol It is a win win for the dishonest fleet owner and a no win for the driver.

Oh Greg, I am so sorry for your loss. It was heart-breaking to read your post. I do have a question for you. In your post you said you thought having him fixed contributed to his cancer? Could you explain more. I have been contemplating weather I should go ahead and have Miss Minnie spayed...

    Tri-State or Express1?????

Tri-State or Express-1? Well, I can say we have driven for both of them and both are very good carriers. We are currently with Express-1 and feel that although Tri-State is a good carrier, Express-1 is the better carrier. I guess it is all what you are looking for in a carrier. :)
