Lots of good input from seasoned and experinced drivers John. Myself, I do like the ability to take the longer runs, but I also have enough experience to know my own safety limits. As stated in an earlier post many variables come into play. One that was not mentioned was the higher speed limits...

Michelin is the best choice by far. Great mileage, traction and ride. Might cost a little more up front, but in the long run you get what you pay for. Have always gotten at least 130k out of mine.

Well said Guido. I could run till the wheels fell off,....provided I run cheap freight. Not gonna happen. We only hurt ourselves when we do that. I have deadheaded out of some of the tougher areas rather than take it at half rate. It's not worth the wear and tear on my equipment.
