good luck!
The series 60 in a Class 8 6 cylinder and will not fit in most medium duty trucks. The series 50 is the 4 cylinder variant of the 60 and has a superior track record as far as reliability when compared to the small cats and cummins.
The only real way to build a truck with a 10 foot sleeper and a 22 foot box while keeping it DOT compliant(40 +/- feet) would be using a cabover design ( U.D., Isuzu??? yikes!!), preferably a class E unit with the HP and torque to pull such a truck!
RE: What is the maximum size
So basically, if you run a A or B unit (cargo van) you need not log or stop at weigh stations (unless haz-mat). So without logbook, a solo driver can run more than 10 hours?
What is the maximum size an expiditer (cargo van or sub 10,000 pound capacity straight truck?) can be to pass through DOT weigh stations and log book requirements?
