Trump Organization Found Guilty of 17 Criminal Charges

"A Manhattan jury has found two Trump Organization companies guilty on multiple charges of criminal tax fraud and falsifying business records connected to a 15-year scheme to defraud tax authorities by failing to report and pay taxes on compensation for top executives.

"The Trump Corp. and Trump Payroll Corp. were found guilty on all charges they faced

Well, duh. It is a NY jury.
Well, duh. The Trump Organization made NY it's home state and kept it so for decades. Of course it will be a NY jury. That's where the crimes were committed.

You don't rob a bank in California and go on trial for it in Texas. And in a case like this, where the evidence was clear and convincing, 17 guilty verdicts would have come from any jury in any state.

The verdict is not about the court's zip code. The verdict is about the guilt.

What Happened to the Red Wave?

With the US Senate midterms now complete, this historic fact emerges: Joe Biden is the first President since 1934 to not lose a single Senator from his own party during midterms.

Yes, the Republicans took the US House but just barely. Red wave? I think not. The 2022 was not an election where Republicans demonstrated strength. It's one in which they demonstrated weakness. It is COMMON for the party out of power to take the House in mid-term elections. It is uncommon to do it by the slim margin Republicans barely eeked out in 2022.

Are we tired of winning yet?

  • Jan 6 Committee to make criminal referrals
  • Special prosecutor Jack Smith issues subpoenas
  • Trump Organization guilty on all 17 criminal counts
  • Trump-endorsed Herschel Walker loses
  • Trump tax records delivered to US House
  • Ruling that provided special master reversed
  • State-appointed monitor now sits in Trump Org. offices
  • Fulton County grand jury and prosecutor closing in
  • NY AG files lawsuit

Other than respond and lose in court, Trump has done very little in recent weeks. On the positive side, he declared his run for president. That's a win right? Never mind that the announcement was mostly ignored by other Republican presidential hopefuls and only briefly covered by the media. It's still a win, right?

Oh, yeah, Trump recently dined with an avowed antisemite and an avowed white supremacist. That's a win too, right?

And finally, Trump called for the termination of the US Constitution. That's a wonderful addition to the resume of any candidate who, if he wins, is required by law to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. Yet another Trump win, right?

Trump is Getting Jumpy

This is actually a dumb thing to do. It is well documented that Trump's previous claims that all documents were turned over are false. This "search" only reinforces the public memory of his lies. It does not lower suspicion. It raises it.

To those that worship the Orange evil like he's the second coming, yes.

Oh, so it’s all about who Trump is seen with? Got it.
What it’s called is an intervention that Trump was attempting with Kanye. I thought the Left was for helping the mentally ill?

How Long Will the Republican Party Cling to Donald Trump?

"His family business was convicted Tuesday of criminal tax fraud. On the same day, his hand-picked candidate lost a winnable Senate race in a red state. The House January 6 committee has decided to make criminal referrals to the Justice Department – possibly of him or his close associates. And his call to terminate the Constitution has once again backed Republicans into a corner." (Source)

Will America have to wait until the 2024 Republican convention to see them dump Trump in favor of someone else? Or will some other formal action by the party get the job done sooner. If so, what might that be? How will America know the Republican Party is done with Trump?
