There's a house on a corner that backs up to the creek. They built it on a six feet tall slab. It's funny looking and in spite of their preparation it still had 4 feet of water in the house. About 2.5 blocks from us toward the creek every yard is filled with carpet and tons of stuff. It's still clear but rain is supposed to come back in a couple of days. Lots of eating establishments are still not open again.

Over the past few days I've gotten emails from Bi-Lo, Brakes to Go, Southwest Airlines & a few others to make donations for Harvey victims. It's nuts. How much does each organization take off the top of funds collected?

Seems like everyone out there wants to cash in on this disaster ...

Gotta admit I was impressed at Wal-Mart's 2 for 1 matching donations campaign...donated there to take advantage.
