you can get pin kits from whoever does installs locally. Pretty easy to repin a gate if you have a decent air-hammer. Doing it with a regular hammer and a drift is a PITA. A cheap harbor freight airhammer will do it. Assemble using nevr-seize. If the hole on the flip up lip is reamed out, you can weld some 1" pipe in there to hold the pin.

The rust repair can be done by anyone with a welder, just have whoevers local chop out the bad stuff and weld in some fresh material. Do that AFTER the pin kit and have the same guy level the gate for you (done by welding material onto a certain spot or grinding it off). All the how-to except the welding is in the owners service manual for the gate. At least with the maxon gates all of the above is true.

If your gate is rusty, check your fluid reservoir, about the time the gates start to look sketchy the metal on the reservoirs is getting thin. get a good coat of paint on that before it starts to leak.

I'd drag that rusted part into your local metal fab shop and ask for an estimate to recreate one. It might cost you a few hundred bucks, but it'll be brand new. Hell, you could get it made of a different steel alloy that's more rust resistant. Or out of thicker gauge metal. Since it'll be made of new clean metal, you could even get it powdercoated.

There are times when it's appropriate to fix what you've got, and there are times when you have the opportunity to make everything 100% better.

If you do rebuild the deck, drill drainage holes in it for when it's tucked away. That's where so much of the rust comes from. It gets wet and pools up inside the folded platforms.
