Made it to Fort Wayne IN. last night. Must have been bad earlier on I-69. Counted 8 big rigs and 1 car off the road, 6 were on there side. Big cleanup day for the road crews. Road was mostly wet, but stalagmites were spaced out enough to keep you awake.
Transmission decided to start leaking at the wire harness seal. Time to find a good shop that's not busy.

Still in cookeville but averitt got me a hotel for the night for my troubles. Could be because this is the hotel that you stay at during orientation but I'm not complaining

Took home time last week. This week went from Cleveland, OH to Talladega, AL. Elmore, AL to Hastings, NE. Wood River, NE to Fairmont, MN. Faribault, MN to Mooresville, NC. Currently waiting to unload in the morning. Coming through Indiana on 65 was a mess! Fun times I tell you!

there is some cheap crap going on...I am over in Gastonia NC now....Team CRE has bid quite a few loads the last few days, but they are going at bargain basement prices, or they are too heavy or too long for this old fart....I just can't do 900, 1,000 direct anymore...so with that I sit...so be it.,always another day and another load....sometimes waiting is a virtue...

more and more its looking more like a death spiral in the rates....the lower they go forcing more to get their own authority and cutting out the carrier fee and on and on...I know if I were a younger guy and know what I do now....I'd have my own authority and take the associated risks.
I am hearing stories of some getting their own authority and board access and then sharing that access for a fee of like 5% of the take....

Everyone gets a cut of the cut, of the cut of the original cut, and then the factoring company, uncle Sam, and everyone else gets a cut of that cut!
