Returning from Thompson MB last week we picked up a 200 mile run in Winnipeg going to Fargo. We arrived at the border in Emerson MB at 20:00 Friday and sat there until 14:00 Saturday waiting for clearance. This was 18 hours of wasted time with regular reports of "it shouldn'y be much longer." The problem was the load was "IN BOND" and the bond had to be released.
I did swear off any future Canadian freight pickups after this fiasco.
