CIA operatives in Libya told to stand down during attack

During the attack on the Consulate in Libya the CIA operatives at the annex approx 1 mile from the consulate made 3 requests to go to aid and help the Ambassador and the others they were ordered to stand down. The people at the annex ignored the orders and went and rescued those at the annex and recovered one body they were unable to find the ambassador and then made their way back to the annex and again requested assistance when the annex came under attack which was denied. Who told them to stand down? Who refused to send in help while our people were being attacked and killed? This is while they were watching live video feed of the attack and killing People need to be fired and go to jail

And our great President Obama refuses to answer a simple yes or no question. Were requests from our people in Libya for assistance denied??

If the Fox news report is correct, someone told the operatives to stand down. The CIA's Petraeus said no one from the CIA told them to.

CIA spox: "No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. ”

In a crisis when do you wait for all the info before coming to aid those in distress ?local police put their lives on the line every day local swat can respond faster than these fools in Washington can wipe the food from their chins,really now they all need to answer for this mess politics aside. If firefighters waited till it was safe we'd all be ashes first responders are our best asset!!!!!

One can only wonder if karma will see to it those most deserving get identical assistance as the ambassador should they ever come under attack in the future.

Agree. The administration is stonewalling and have lied about this. It is too politically damaging to them to have all the facts come out now because it is close to an election. Another example of a lack of transparency that Obama had promised in his administration.

What facts have come out have all been negative. Still alot of unanswered questions and regardless of the answers, they still look bad. I wouldn't say it is a full blown coverup, but each day it seems to be inching closer to that outcome. Obama is probably the only one hoping on that hurricane hitting to get this off the front pages.

Demoncrat presidents have a history of lying about losing embassies.

Carter ignored warnings about what was going to happen, then lied about it. He ignored information that would have allowed for a rescue a week or two later, then lied about it. He was told NOT to send in the rescue mission when he did send it in, and lied about it. The congress and the press helped him with his lies.

We now see ANOTHER Demoncrat president who is lying through his teeth. The congress and the press are helping him, just as they did with Carter.

The ONLY people who get hurt when presidents don't do their job is the people who get killed, captured and displaced. Only lower level 'officials' get 'canned'.

When are the American people going to wake up? My guess? Never.

The news organizations with the exception of Fox News and a couple others aren't even digging on this story. They are not interested in finding out the truth. Probably because it would be damaging to Obama.

The so called news organizations are not digging into to this because IF the entire truth ever came out there would be a total loss of trust and confidence in the government. They are inept, incompetent and dishonest. They have NO problem allowing people to lose their lives, their freedom and their property if it suits their political needs. Obama is scum. So was Carter. Reagan participated in the cover up. IF Romney is elected he too will help cover up what Obama has done. They are all the same. Our politicians are worthy of nothing but scorn and disgust.
