FYI...Ontario is mostly closed on Monday, May 24, 2010 for the Victoria Day Holiday. Might want to figure that into your load plans if you are headed this way.

Yeah, thanks....I was on a load from Owensboro, KY to Winnepeg, Manitoba for delivery on Monday. Thanks to this post I called the consignee and found out that they weren't going to be open to accept delivery on Monday. So I will prob wait in Nashville after I drop off this load. not gonna take the load to Manitoba unless they offer me some layover $$$.:D

Long live the Queen! Um, I mean long live the Queen's legacy! Did this portrait inspire the designer of Mack's legendary hood ornament?

On behalf of the regal species that is the Bulldog, I take exception to your callous remark!

Once again, please convey my apologies to Bob for besmirching his lineage. I believe on another occasion I accused him of being a St. Bernard. Even Bob would have to admit to the subtle similarities between his breed and the Queen. Maybe it's the veil and crown.

BTW OVM Thomas Crapper did not invent the toilet or even the flush toilet even though he is credited as doing so. He is the inventor of the modern version of the flush toilet and of course the version that came into general usage. Yes Queen Victoria did commission his company to install toilets, and other water works into several of her establishments allowing him to use the logo "By appointment to Her Majesty The Queen" (there's a coat of arms along with this statement). If you visit some of the royal estates in England you can actually see some of the original manhole covers with Crappers company name on them.
Remember this queen was one of the longest serving heads of state in history.
