Ok, where does everyone go when they layover in the San Jose, CA area?

As far as I know the "Garlic Farm" is the only fairly close truck stop to that area and it is just plain nasty. There are a few Wally Worlds in the area but they don't have showers and most have no overnight parking laws.

There is the Casa de Fruita but that is really get out of range.

Where do you all go?

Last time I was in that area I headed to the flying j in Ripon on Jack Tone Road. It's about 80 miles, but I was staying the weekend and it was near my route to a pick up.

Yeah, we have stayed there as well. 80 miles is kinda far unless pre-dispatched.

We might stay at Casa de Fruita again. It is fairly quiet, clean for the most part as well. We have not tried their showers yet. Maybe tomorrow we will. Might head there in a few minutes.

Linda and I usually head to the Santa Nella TA. I5 and 33.
Right acceoss the street is a Pilot.
BUT, better yet, next door to the Pilot is
"Peasoup Anderson".
A very nice place to eat.

Thanks Dave,

We ended up at the Casa de Fruta. It is quiet out there and the food is not all that bad!! Good fruit market too.

Thanks, I will check that out next time I am there. I do hope that is not for a LONG time. I really have to stop taking so many of those California runs. I always seem to lose out in the long term when I take them. :(
