48" x Height of box x Width of box. No special exit door, but open to the front seats. If the DOT had issues with it, he'd have likely been popped already?

Course too it depends how strict his carrier is to to enforcing the regs. They might not even know that they even exist or don't care leaving it up to the driver to comply. Not my problem.
