Expediter Expo 2007: The Exhibitors
Expedite Expo week is here!
The entire convention area of the Roberts Convention Centre in Wilmington, Ohio has been appropriated for the Expo - over 70,000 square feet of display space. There will be entertainment, education, food, attractions and of course, exhibitors. As a matter of fact, there will be over 100 exhibitors displaying anything from CB radio gear to the latest in no-idle technology. And, you might find the occasional expediter truck there as well.
Lawrence McCord is the General Manager of Expediters Online.com, organizers of the Expedite Expo. He states, "When we put on the first Expo in 2001, we never pictured how the event would grow into the world-class show that it has become."
"In the years that we've been presenting the Expo, we've adhered to two principles: one, offer the expedited freight industry a venue in which to show off the newest and the best in everything expedite. Two, we've tried to establish a sense of community and have the Expo serve as a meeting place for old friends within the industry. I think we've achieved both of those goals."
As North America's original and largest trade show/job fair of its type, the Expedite Expo prides itself on its impressive roster of exhibitors and this year's event boasts the largest number of exhibiting companies ever.
For many attendees, the expedited truck dealers' and manufacturers' displays are prime attractions and the 2007 Expo will feature many returning favorites along with a number of new exhibitors.
McCord comments, "The exhibiting companies are not just featuring shiny trucks and lots of chrome. From the truck and equipment dealers to the carriers and vendors, the emphasis is on career advancement/enhancement and discovering new ways to improve the owner-operator's profitability."

Freightliner of Knoxville
This dealer is a little mysterious about its display, but promises that "The expediter truck buyers are going to be very pleased with what we've come up with for our new sleeper!" The company is also exhibiting the updated version of last year's "Progressive Expedite Drivers' Choice Award winner - the Sterling Acterra 960 Express Cruiser.
Fyda Freightliner of Columbus
Fyda is exhibiting Class 8 expediter trucks - 2007 Class 8 Freightliner Columbia's with 96" sleepers, 22' van bodies and Auto Shift transmissions. The dealership is also displaying Class 8 Freightliners with 70" integral factory sleepers along with Medium-Duty expediters with both 96" sleepers and 84" sleepers. Fyda is also exhibiting a large selection of its inventory in the outside areas of the Roberts Centre.

At this dealer's booth, you'll find a 2007 Sprinter 2500 van with 170"-long body and Midway sleeper conversion. This van is fully-equipped with TV, DVD, inverter, converter, deep-cell battery, fridge, microwave and is powered by the new 3-liter diesel engine.
