BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — A width restriction will be imposed on part of southbound Interstate 65 in south-central Kentucky for several months while one lane is being worked on, and officials say expect slow-moving traffic.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says crews will impose a lane closure from 7 p.m. until midnight CDT Wednesday. Workers will be shifting southbound traffic to the far left lanes between the Cumberland Parkway at mile marker 43 and Park City at mile marker 48.

The cabinet says after the shift has been made, the two lanes of southbound traffic will be divided by a median wall while crews work on the far right southbound lane.

The width restriction will be 11 feet and will remain in place for the next four months.

Northbound traffic will not be affected.
