U.S. diesel prices go higher
Average U.S. diesel prices climbed again this week, increasing 2.7 cents to $2.652 a gallon, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
The average price of a gallon of diesel remains $1.555 less than last summer when prices jumped to close to $5 a gallon, but the gap is narrowing.
Prices rose in all regions tracked by DOE. The least expensive region is the Gulf Coast at $2.607, and the most costly is California at $2.872.
