U.S. diesel price goes lower
The national average price of a gallon of diesel fell another 2.2 cents last week.
In the week ended Feb. 2, the national average price dropped to $2.246. The price is $1.03 less than a year ago.
Since
its record high of $4.764 announced July 14, the weekly national
average has dropped $2.52, down 53 percent from the peak price.
For
the latest week, average prices declined in all regions tracked by the
U.S. Department of Energy. New England remains the most expensive
region at $2.58, while the Gulf Coast is the cheapest at $2.18.
