Trucking forecasts gloomy
The economic forecasts for the trucking industry that are coming out of an American Trucking Association conference in New Orleans are fairly gloomy.
The Associated Press quoted a Wachovia analyst as saying the current economic downturn is much more severe than the two relatively mild recessions the country has had in the past 16 years.
And the ATA’s main economist told the group that conditions are likely to get worse before getting better.
