Suspects sought in robbery-shooting at I-65 rest stop
GREENVILLE, Ala. — A motorist was hospitalized after being shot and robbed at an Interstate 65 rest stop, just north of Greenville.
According to Butler County Sheriff Kenny Harden, the incident happened early Tuesday at about 3 a.m. He declined to identify the victim, but said the person was listed in stable condition.
Harden said deputies have been looking three suspects, two males and a female who were last seen in a red Chevrolet Avalanche.
A state Department of Transportation spokeswoman said the rest stop has a security guard and an attendant on duty every night.
