OOIDA’s third annual Truckers for Troops Telethon begins this Monday, Dec. 7, which is Pearl Harbor Day, on Sirius XM satellite radio.

Earlier this year, the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association partnered with country singer and Life Member Leland Martin to raise funds for the Truckers for Troops telethon on OOIDA’s  Land Line Now radio show.

A portion of the sales of his CD “Truckers for Troops” has been going toward the program. Continuing his generosity, Martin is now including a free DVD with every “Truckers for Troops” CD purchased on his Web site .

The DVD has six Leland Martin music videos, two of which are for songs on the “Truckers for Troops” CD. Martin told Land Line Now the DVD also includes “behind-the-scenes footage and bloopers.”

There are no extra shipping costs for the DVD. Martin says the DVD is “totally free.”

During the telethon, Association dues are discounted from $45 to $25 for new or renewal annual membership. Ten percent of the membership fees are matched by OOIDA to pay for care packages sent to U.S. troops stationed overseas.
