The Whiteland Speedco will be open from 7 a.m., June 18 to 11 p.m., June 19 for the Grand Opening Celebration.  The new Speedco is located off I-65, Exit 95 in Whiteland, Ind.

“We are thrilled to open our history-making 50th store,” Mark Clark, chief executive officer and president, commented about the new location.  “We will continue to open stores across the nation to increase driver convenience.”

The Grand Opening will feature food, refreshments and service specials.  The Open Road on XM Satellite Radio Channel 171 will be doing a live broadcast on America’s Truckin’ Network from 12 – 5 a.m., Tuesday June 19.

The new Speedco Chopper, built by the Orange County Choppers; The Speedco Supertruck, the ”˜trick’d out’ truck by Country Music Television’s Chrome Shop Mafia; and the Shell Rotella Roadshow will all be on display.

Speedco opened its first quick lube truck location in October 1991 in Effingham, Ill.  Since then, Speedco has added tires and tire services to its list of offerings in a number of locations, with the goal of offering tires at all of its stores.  The company is headquartered in Cayuga, Ind.; Bandag, the nation’s largest maker of tire retreads, owns a majority interest in the company.  Speedco provides professional drivers and truck fleets not just faster, but better service in about 30 minutes.

Josh-=|=-To get the full effect they need the bliss of a long run to Laredo and then sit there for 6 more days. Mission accomplished. Seriously though I think it's great they are heading out for a week. I agree incognito is the way to go.

I am glad they are donating the money to a good cause. Id also like to point out if they really want an idea go for the usual 3 to 4 weeks out incognito and see how well the system works. I have a feeling they will keep em in ohio for the entire week. I coomend em for attempting to step in our shoe but to do so they should atleast do so for a month and leave all their credit cards and cash at home except for 200 which is what we normally use to live off of atleast i do any how.

    Good Luck

Amber-=|=-Well, A blind trial would have given a clearer picture of what we face every day but it is a good start. Hope they send driver relations and dispatchers next so they understand how much drivers depend on excellent directions, accurate mileage, and promises kept.
