Speedco Announces All Roads Lead to Joplin Event

Three Day Community Event Benefitting the City of Joplin
 
CAYUGA, Ind. (March 22, 2012) – Speedco is proud to announce their upcoming event, All Roads Lead to Joplin, a community event benefitting the city of Joplin, Mo.
 
The event will be held May 17-19 at the Joplin Speedco store, located on I-44, Exit 11 in Joplin, Mo.  The event will include the 30th Anniversary of Shell Rotella® SuperRigs Truck Beauty Contest, grand re-opening celebration of Joplin Speedco store, a community concert, parade and fireworks.
 
On Sunday, May 22, 2011, a deadly tornado struck Joplin, Mo. and left a community devastated and lives forever changed. The Speedco location in Joplin was in the path of this destructive and deadly tornado.  Thanks to the dedicated team at Speedco, all employees and customers were safe and unharmed, but the building was destroyed.
 
Speedco and the Joplin community were committed to rebuilding and the Joplin Speedco location was re-built and opened for business on March 1.
 
“The community of Joplin has supported us for many years and it’s our turn to give back to such a deserving community,” said Mark Clark, Speedco President & CEO.  “Thanks to the help of our partners and vendors, we are excited to host this event for the city of Joplin and the trucking community.”
 
All proceeds and donations from the event will be donated to the Joplin YMCA Outreach Program.
