Thieves in Tennessee apparently needed only minutes to steal a tractor-trailer loaded with $10 million in pharmaceuticals from a truck stop this week.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, trucker Ricky McNew of Kennett, MO, stopped at the Denmark, TN, TA on June 17 at 8 p.m. After McNew went inside the truck stop to purchase fuel, he walked back out and noticed the truck and trailer were missing.

The stolen rig is a maroon 2007 Freightliner Columbia that pulled a white 53-foot reefer “with no markings,” a news release stated.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office told Land Line that the “truck/trailer license plate is Missouri 43AP9A.” The truck is owned by Steadfast Transcontinent of Hornersville, MO.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Unit at 731-423-6000, or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-8477.

Madison County Sheriff David Woolfork confirmed the trailer was transporting medical supplies and non-narcotic pharmaceuticals with an estimated worth of $10 million.
