Part of Tenn. I-40 one lane over weekend

Interstate 40 westbound in Fayette County, Tenn., will be reduced to one lane between mile markers 29.5 and 33.5 from Friday, Sept. 18, at 8 p.m. to Monday, Sept. 21, at 6 am.

This marks the second of eight planned weekend lane closures on this stretch of road as crews repair deck surfaces on five interstate bridges. Tennessee troopers will be on site to provide traffic control. Those who must travel in the are should use caution, reduce speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions.
