Kenworth adds new interior appointments for Class 8, medium-duty conventional models
KIRKLAND, Wash. — Kenworth will incorporate new cab and sleeper interior appointments for its Class 8 and medium-duty conventional models starting in December.
Kenworth is adding Trust Walnut-colored wood finish accents to the dash, doors and sleeper panel trim for the Kenworth T660, T800, W900 and C500 models with the Diamond interior. The Kenworth T2000 with the Diamond interior will receive the Trust Walnut wood finish accent on the upper dash trim and black finish accent on the lower dash trim. Kenworth T170, T370 and T370 medium duty conventional models will receive the new Trust Walnut wood finish accent on the door pad trim.
The new Marathon seat insert material becomes standard for Kenworth’s Air-Cushion Plus, Air-Cushion Premium Plus and Steel Tool Box Plus proprietary seats, and for sofa beds in Kenworth’s 86-inch AeroCab and 72-inch AeroCab AERODYNE sleepers.
The new seat material provides a fresh look for the driver and rider seats and Kenworth sofa bed, and retains the same stain-resistant treatment of the previous seat material.
Kenworth is an industry leader in providing fuel-saving technology solutions that help increase fuel efficiency and reduce emissions, the company said, adding that Kenworth is dedicated to a “green fleet†including aerodynamic trucks, medium-duty diesel electric hybrids, liquefied natural gas trucks, and the Kenworth Clean Power, no-idle system.
In addition, Kenworth is the recipient of the 2008 J.D. Power and Associates awards for Highest in Customer Satisfaction for Over the Road and Vocational Segment Class 8 trucks.
