The Trucking Solutions Group invites the entire trucking industry to join fellow drivers for the Health Awareness Walk at 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, TX.

The group describes the Health Awareness Walk as a fun, noncompetitive 1.5-mile indoor course for anyone in the trucking industry who is thinking about getting fit, wanting to stay healthy, or looking for tips to enhance their workouts.

The Health Awareness Walk is celebrating its third year. Linda Caffee, chairman of the Driver Health Council and OOIDA member, told Land Line that walkers of any age may participate.

Caffee said there is no cost, but registration is required at www.truckingsolutionsgroup.org.

Registrants will receive a T-shirt (while supplies last) and a walk packet including health information and giveaways. Walkers will meet in room No. D168 of the Dallas Convention Center beginning at 8 a.m.

The Trucking Solutions Group also invites everyone to its annual blood drive in booth No. 21038 in partnership with the American Red Cross and Randall-Reilly Publishing each day of the show.  Hours of the blood drive are Thursday, Aug. 23, 12 p.m.-4 p.m.; Friday, Aug. 24, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 25, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Show attendees are invited to stop in and donate with no appointment needed.
